Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy

Content:
This course covers all the main aspects of cancer immunology and immunotherapy, from the bench to the bedside.

The focus of the course shifts between day 1-2, where basic and translational research are the main topics, to day 3 where the application of this knowledge in the clinic is presented.

In day 1-2, selected aspects of the generation of immune response to cancer, avoidance of immune destruction, immune targets on cancer cells as well as how to evaluate immune response to cancer and use this knowledge to develop novel treatments will be discussed by active researchers in the field.

Day 3 is fully dedicated to the application of cancer immunotherapy in the clinical arena to cover both clinical research and real-wold application of cancer immunotherapies in western health systems.

Participants:
The course is relevant for PhD students who work on cancer or immunology related PhD projects, and aim to broaden their knowledge on basic, translational and clinical aspects of cancer immunology research. As such, PhD students engaged in basic, applied, and clinical cancer research projects are all welcome.
